How to change name on the electric and water bill (TNB & Syabas)

Just bought a sub-sale or 2nd onwer of a new house? How to you change yr name on TNB or Syabas? In short, electric bill and water bill? Recently i have done that changes and its actually quite easy to do it. I've done everyting in just half a day.

To change the name/ account for Tenaga National Berhad (TNB), you will just need to go to the nearest Kedai Tenaga and remember to bring along the following documents:

1. A copy of your Identity Card
2. RM10.00 stamp duty x 2
3. A two-month deposit
4. Application fee of RM3.00
5. Supporting documents declaring that the registration is to be made under your name. For example:

• A valid tenancy agreement, duly stamped
• A Letter of Consent from the owner of the premises AND Letter of Undertaking & Indemnity
• Letter of Undertaking & Indemnity AND proof of occupancy at said premise, e.g. telephone bill, Astro bill, etc.
• A valid Sale & Purchase Agreement, duly stamped

Total sum = Rm 300

To change the name/ account for Syabas (Puspel), you will just need to go to Jalan Pantai Baharu, 59990 Kuala Lumpur and remember to bring along the following documents:

A copy of your Identity Card
A valid Sale & Purchase Agreement, duly stamped

Total Sum = Rm 130 (Deposit Rm100 and Reconnection fees RM30)
